Process-Progress
"Rozanne's Tango, as with all my work, is a long and intensive journey involving many demanding steps. The process begins with creating the sculpture as a study and enlarging it up to 5X in size to the next scale. Once the sculpture is enlarged in clay at it's new size, the sculpture's recreated and refined. New molds are made from the clay and then cast in bronze using Lost-Wax Casting (also called investment casting, precision casting, or cire perdue).
I hope this page helps illustrate this journey as we advance and update regularly." Kevin Pettelle 7 /11 /2019 |

One of the great advantages of being a sculptor in the 21st Century is the advent of digital technology. The technology as in itself does not replace traditional hands on sculpture practices but for enlarging the aid it lends is invaluable. What once was a complex method of transferring measurements of up or down to enlarge or reduce the size of the sculpture was a time consuming laborious process is made much more efficient with these advances.
